New to nida this fall, the brand Humanoid perfectly complements our store's aesthetic principles. Each pieces from the collection is made of fine materials that drape beautifully while creating a mood of casual refinement.

While new at nida, Humanoid is certainly no novice in clothing design. The over 30 year old Dutch brand evolved over the years, with each new collection complementing the ones that came before. After more than three decades, they have achieved distinctiveness by staying consistent.

Carven Pre-Fall 2012

Our first Carven shipment of the Fall season is here!

For the Pre-Fall collection, designer Guillaume Henry drew inspiration from a Diane Arbus photo exhibition in Paris. Her portraits capture the timeless, casual elegance of the 1960s, which Henry translated into garments of an equally timeless quality.

He pointed out that the 1960s was a time before prêt-à-porter. Thus, women had to wear garments for a very long time, and took care of them. This quality of craftsmanship and fabric selection shines through in the Pre-Fall collection. Definitely not fast fashion, these are pieces you can imagine wearing for years to come.

Gorgeous two-tone cable knit sweaters, perfectly tailored wool trousers, and skirts and dresses featuring voluminous yet flattering draping techniques are highlights of the collection. And the amazing mottled and felted wool coats in rich colors like royal blue must be seen and touched in person.

Carven continues to impress, as one of our newest and favorite brands at nida SF. This season, we fell in love with this black taffeta dress with a bow detail across the back.

Sisters Lauren and Caroline both chose this special piece for an autumn wedding!

Neutrals with a Pop!

Here at nida SF we are all about neutrals with a pop of color! 

This "color combination" so to speak is pretty simple for anyone to pull off. Take any neutral basic, pair it with a bright colored accessory like a belt, shoe, or bag, and you've got the look down! 

      Some of our favorite pieces this season are from Isabel Marant, Closed, Vanessa Bruno   and Carven. You can never go wrong with a classic leather jacket like this one from Isabel Marant S/S '12 line. We can't get enough of Closed, their pants are easy and simple for any type of outfit, especially these "nelli" pants. Pair them with flat boots like the Isabel Marant "Jenny" boot for a casual look, or dress them up with a heel for a night on the town. Whatever the occasion may be, this beautiful Carven x Upla collaboration is perfect for holding all your must haves: adding the essential pop of color for this summer ensemble.
